Looking for some new furniture or decorations to spruce up your home?  Well, look no further!  The LRG team has compiled a list of some of our favorite places to shop for all things home.  To say that this is our favorite shopping category would be an understatement (have you seen Alyssa Backer’s decorating skills??).  Check it out and let us know your thoughts!

HOME GOODS ($) – If you’re looking for anything from a nice scented candle to a cool piece of accent furniture AND are on a budget, Home Goods is your place.  Fair warning, it can quickly become dangerous for your wallet if you’re the type of person who loves to decorate your home.  They have throw pillows and mirrors galore, plus a ton of cute items for your home office and bathroom.  My personal secret Home Goods shopping tip is their gift bag/gift wrap isle (super cute selection!).  Home Goods is owned by the same company as Marshalls and TJ Maxx.  So, if you’re wanting to shop for the current home trends at discounted prices, this store is a must.

Kirkwood Commons

1040 S. Kirkwood Rd.

Kirkwood, MO 63122

STASH ($$$) – Stash fills the vast space that was formerly Phillip’s Furniture in Kirkwood (RIP).  This place will make you ooo and ahh throughout your visit and leave you wishing you could finally just win the lottery to give yourself a Stash shopping spree.  Filled with a variety of unique items that you won’t find many other places, Stash is a great place to shop if you’re looking for items in your home that truly showcase your badass interior decorating self.

10525 Manchester Rd.

Kirkwood, MO 63122

The Green Goose ($) – This is a great place to stop by on a whim to possibly find that piece you’ve been searching for.  It’s also the perfect spot for you DIY-ers that like finding pieces to rehab and make your own. Since it’s all resale all consignment, they have many things come in and out every day.  So, if you find something you like, chances are it may not be there long!

5611 Hampton Ave

Saint Louis, MO 63109

Restoration Hardware Outlet ($$) – If you love all-things Restoration Hardware, make a mental note to try and sit tight when you find that must-have item; chances are it will be highly discounted at the outlet within a reasonable matter of time.  Insider tip – jot down the item name/details and call the outlet regularly to see if they have your item in their store yet, they get new items two times a week!

17057 N. Outer 40 Rd. #173

Chesterfield, MO 63005

West Elm ($$-$$$) – If you’re looking for modern, New York-like style, you’ll want to add West Elm to your list.  Owned by the same company that owns William Sonoma and Pottery Barn, West Elm opened their first brick and mortar location in our region back in 2013.  Just as their tagline says, their items are “clean, simple products for modern living”.  They also have awesome sales on higher end styles for those shopping on a budget!

1155 St Louis Galleria St #1474

St. Louis, MO 63117

Weekends Only on Manchester ($) – We all know about Weekends Only, but the one on Manchester seems to always have the best selection to choose from.  Naturally, it’s only open on the weekends.  However, they do allow furniture pickups until Monday.  Their closeout and liquidation items come from name-brand manufacturers such as Ashley, Bernhardt, and The Bramble Co.

14205 Manchester Rd.

St. Louis, MO 63011

World Market ($$) – There is a variety of ways you can shop at World Market.  Whether you’re on the hunt for a new piece of furniture for your home or you’re shopping for a unique gift for a friend’s house-warming party, chances are you’ll find something good.  They have a solid variety of home decor that isn’t only cute, colorful and unique, but also affordable (which we all love).  One somewhat surprising furniture category we’ve always found ourselves heading to World Market for is their beautiful and functional office desks.  They don’t carry those small, chintzy desks that basically take up space and feel like they are made for someone under the age of 10.  These desks are large with spacious work areas and good leg-room, unlike what you’ll find many other places.

24 Brentwood Promenade Court

Brentwood, MO 63144

Arhaus ($$$) – Arhaus, ohh Arhaus… you truly are a fine retail establishment.  For those who live a rather lavish lifestyle and want that elegance to reflect in their home decorating, this should be at the top of the list.  It typically makes most sense to shop here if you’re looking to furnish and decorate a larger home and have the funds to do so.  Arhaus is one of those places that you walk into and realize it has everything you yearn for…like if you had a great room and needed a unique patterned chair or ottoman to finish things off, or an elaborate light fixture for your oversized entry way.  It basically has everything you want but can’t afford.  But hey, who ever said you can’t dream?

Brentwood Square

1657 S. Brentwood Blvd.

Brentwood, MO 63144

IKEA ($-$$) – Looking to have a day-long shopping trip?  Be sure to add IKEA to your list!  If you’ve never been to an IKEA store before, be prepared.  First of all, it is HUGE.  Second, be prepared to wish you had an empty apartment and needed to furnish the entire place from scratch.  They have everything you would possibly need in order to do so.  AND their prices are shockingly low.  But there is a catch; all of their furniture has to be completely self-assembled (and it is not necessarily easily assembly either).  Additionally, all of the hardware comes separately (and I mean everything).  A few notable areas to check out are their awesomely low priced area rugs, fun interior lighting, and their indoor plants, pots, and planters.  Depending on what you’re going for, plan to be there for no less than 1 hour (3-4 hours if you’re doing some serious shopping).
